Quad A for Kids is a volunteer fundraising organization dedicated to reducing juvenile social problems and improving the life prospects of economically disadvantaged children in Rochester. It funds and supports community-based athletic, artistic and academic programs which expose young people to positive role models and direct them into productive alternatives and away from the destructive activities of the street. It encourages programs that incorporate goals and evaluate progress with respect to scholastic performance and personal achievement.

Description:
Quad A focuses on economically challenged neighborhoods in the City of Rochester where children are at greatest risk. We replace idle time with activities that develop critical life skills.
Quad A provides nearly 30 after-school and 10 community-wide programs for kids ages 5 - 15 years old. Quad A's volunteer base of dedicated professionals research and deliver the most effective after-school children's programs. We take focused action - our after-school programs run 3 hours, 5 days per week. Students who participate in our programs must show consistent attendance at school and in academic performance.

History:
In 1994, Rochester philanthropist Joe U. Posner had a vision: an organization dedicated to improving the life prospects of disadvantaged youth in Rochester. Over the years, we have become an effective, results-oriented program uniquely capable of making a difference in the lives of urban children.
