Arkansas Athletes Outreach (AAO) is in the athlete development business. Our vision is to develop athletes into champions for life who will affect the world as positive role models, Christian leaders and productive citizens.
Description:
AAO was established in 1990 on the University of Arkansas campus as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal was to develop Razorback athletes into Champions for Life. A vital part of Arkansas athletic tradition, AAO is staffed by former collegiate athletes who provide opportunities for players that foster spiritual growth, character development, leadership training, and positive role modeling. Despite its humble beginning, AAO has continued to grow and expand its vision of building champions for life on campus, in the community, and in the arenas of athletic competition. In 1999, for the first time since its conception, AAO had a place to call its own and opened its doors to a new indoor/outdoor recreational and sports facility. In addition to hosting its own programs, the community has been given access to the private facility for a nominal fee, thus expanding AAO’s connection to the community. As AAO looks toward the future, its goal remains the same of Building Champions for Life through the influence of sports.
