Position title: CARES of Washington Board member
Description: We are looking for a dedicated board member that has a passion to guide CARES of Washington's growth and impact into the future. We are looking for a person that has strong fund raising and community development skills and knowledge.
Type of board position: Board of Directors
The process for selecting or nominating members: The board applicant is considered for nomination after meetings with the board. Each applicant is interviewed prior to meeting the board by the board president and the Executive Director to establish a realistic match. If the board decides to proceed with the nomination, the candidate is voted on and either accepted or rejected by a majority vote within a month of applying.
The organization provides a formal orientation to new members: Yes
Additional information about this position: The CARES of Washington board of directors is a working board, where all board members contribute their time and talents to various projects. We do not have sub-committees and each member has an equal share of responsibility and power over the decision making process.
