ArtWalk Issaquah Working to spread Art and Culture in our community

This popular community event is sponsored by the DownTown Issaquah Association and is held the first Friday from May through September. Area artists show and sell their art in DownTown businesses and in side walk booths. Free entertainment is a highlight at several DownTown locations.Several volunteers are needed for a variety of support positions.

Balloon Volunteer: A volunteer is needed to pick up the balloons from a local business and set them up before ArtWalk Issaquah is to start. One person for two trips, two people for one trip or one person with a large van is needed pick up about 25 balloons per ArtWalk. The time commitment would be from 2:00 to about 3:00 pm and for each of the five ArtWalks throughout the season. On the job training is available.

A-Frame Volunteer: One volunteer is needed to distribute the A-Frames in front of businesses hosting artists. There are about 20-25 A-frames and they need to be set up at 4:00 pm. A volunteer is needed to take them down at about 9:00 pm. This could be the same person or two different volunteers. The commitment is for each of the five ArtWalks throughout the season. On the job training is available.

Special Projects Volunteer: Volunteers are needed for special events during ArtWalk Issaquah, such as for the Lion Dancers, to assist the ArtWalk Issaquah Coordinator with On the job training is available.

ArtWalk Issaquah Volunteer Facilitator: This position works closely with the ArtWalk Issaquah Coordinator to support volunteers while they work the ArtWalk Issaquah in their various capacities. The commitment would be for each of the five ArtWalks throughout the season and the hours would be determined with the ArtWalk Issaquah Coordinator. On the job training is available.

Easel Volunteer: This position makes minor repair on easels and checks them out to the artists before the ArtWalk Issaquah begins. The commitment is for each of the five ArtWalks throughout the season from 3:00pm to 4:30 pm. On the job training is available.

Traffic Volunteer: Two or three volunteers are needed to watch and direct people and traffic during ArtWalk Issaquah. The commitment is for each of the five ArtWalks throughout the season from 4:00pm to 9:00 pm. On the job training is available.
