Pittsburgh International Children's Theater, founded in 1969 as Performing Arts for Children, presents and promotes professional theater experiences for children at affordable prices in convenient neighborhood locations. While entertaining children and families, the organization strives to inspire, challenge, and educate children, as well as stimulate their respect for—and understanding of—all cultures. In addition to presenting a family theater series for families, the organization also presents the International Children’s Festival each May in West Park on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

History:
Pittsburgh International Children's Theater (originally Performing Arts for Children) has been presenting its Family Series for 36 years and its International Children's Festival for 20 years.
