Providing the opportunity for single, low-income student parents to complete their education, secure satisfying employment, establish careers and become self-sufficient and responsible citizens, is our mission. We provide the loving, nurturing, safe and healthy environment that every child deserves. In a family-like setting we encourage and guide both generations toward realization of their full potential. Angels' Place is truly "a place to grow" for parents, children, staff, volunteers and Board members.

Description:
Angels' Place is a non-profit social services agencies, providing single parents with free quality child care while they are attending school. All parents volunteer 3 hours of their time in our center, cleaning, organizing, sanitizing, etc. They also attend a mandatory parenting class weekly. Our family support specialist works on family goals with each of our parents and provides counseling, referrals and other support.

History:
Today Angels' Place has three centers in Pittsburgh. In 1984, we opened our first center here in Brookline under the name "Mom's House". We opened a second center in Swissvale in 1989 and a third center on the Northside in 1998.

Since 2003 we are operating under the name Angels' Place, Inc. We have been successfully promoting our principles, policies, and programs since 1984.
