MargaretAnn's Place is dedicated to serving the unique needs of grieving children and families. Our free programs allow them to work through their grief, while also helping them honor the life of their loved one.
Description:
MargaretAnn's Place is dependent on broad community support. Our peer support group volunteers are specifically trained in understanding the needs of grieving children. We serve children from preschool age to teenagers along with a "loss of spouse" and "loss of child" groups for the parents/caregivers. MargaretAnn's Place asks for a one year commitment. We currently hold group once a month on the third Thursday of every month from 5:45pm - 8:30pm. The group meets at 1700 South Greenbay Road in Racine. We are hoping to add one more night of group per month. Please contact us for more information on our Peer Support Groups and how you can help bring "HOPE" into a grieving child's life. The next Peer Support Group Facilitator Training begins at the end of September.
