Are you a professional, aged 22 - 39, seeking a way to meet other young professionals and also give back to the community? Triangle Family Services' Young Professionals group may be just right for you!

The TFS Young Professional group (YP) meets bi-monthly on the first Wednesday evening of the month at 6:30pm for a "business" meeting. In alternate months, the YPs meet on the first Thursday of the month for a social outing, usually right after work. The group's mission is three-fold -- to have fun; raise funds for TFS; and promote TFS and its services to the Triangle community.

The YPs host an annual art auction to benefit TFS and its Emergency Housing Assistance program, preventing homelessness for families at immediate risk of eviction. The 2008 art auction, Art with Heart - Inspiring Hope at Home, is scheduled for early October and offers many opportunities for volunteer involvement.

YP members also host smaller fund-raising events to benefit TFS, and enjoy group social outings. YPs are encouraged to serve on TFS board committees and assist TFS in other ways.

Membership in the Young Professional group is entirely optional. You just need to be within the age range of 22-39 and share a passion for helping to improve the lives of children and families in our community.
