Time Together Visit Facilitator - Supervise parent & child visits Recommended agencies
Last updated on September 3, 2008

Triangle Family Services' Time Together Supervised Visitation and Exchange program provides a safe environment for children from abusive families to visit with their non-custodial parent (sometimes the mom and sometimes the dad). Some of these visits are court-ordered while other families voluntarily use the Time Together program.

Volunteers serve as Visit Facilitators, welcoming parents and children to the facility; overseeing the parent-children visit; completing required documentation regarding each visit; providing a pleasant environment for the visit; and ensuring that visit rooms are tidy at the completion of each visit.

Volunteers have LIMITED interaction with the children and parents as their primary role is to observe the visit and only intercede as needed.

Volunteers should have good communication skills and be able to follow specific procedures. Extensive training will be provided. Volunteers should also have a willingness and ability to treat people with respect and acceptance. Experience or studies in Human Services and bilingual ability (especially Spanish) are preferred.

Volunteer hours for Time Together are normally in late afternoon and evening hours on weekdays and daytime hours on weekends.
