Visitor Services Volunteer

Volunteer will assist in the daily operations of the Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center for the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge and the Francis Marion National Forest. Duties would include staffing the visitor reception desk, provide information and materials to visitors, operate phone system, assist staff as needed with various education and information projects, and assist staff with manning off-site exhibits and information booths.

Volunteer will be trained on-site and must have good interpersonal and communications skills and desire to work with the public. Volunteer must have physical ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, and must have physical mobility to access all areas of Center. The time commitment is 4 hours for each day scheduled and volunteer works at least one day every two weeks.

 Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center is located on Highway 17 North, between Mt. Pleasant and McClellanville. Drive approximately 14 miles north of Mt. Pleasant; the Sewee Center will on the right side of Hwy 17 North.
