Volunteer Child Advocate
Last updated on February 19, 2008
Logo

Volunteers are needed to advocate for abused and neglected children in Charleston County. Our volunteers work one-on-one with children to help them find safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. We focus on the child, and how we can advocate children to move through the foster care system as quickly as possible.

If you are over 21, and have a sincere desire to help children, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in a child's life. You must be able to visit the child every month, and have a schedule that would allow you to appear in Court occasionally (approximately every 6 months)on the child's behalf. You must complete a free, 30 hour training class that will teach you the skills you need to advocate for a child.
