The mission of the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana is to prevent kidney and urinary tract disease, improve the health and well being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
Description:
The National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana is the major voluntary health association dedicated to the eradication of kidney and urological diseases, in addition to working in the area of organ and tissue donation. The foundation provides direct patient services, conducts public and professional health education seminars, funds research, promotes the urgent need for organ donation, and advocates on behalf of kidney and transplant patients.
