The National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana, a voluntary health organization dedicated to the prevention of kidney and urinary tract disease, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increasing the availability of all organ for transplantation. The Twelfth Annual Alexandria Cadillac Invitational Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 23, 2008. Volunteers are needed to help set-up, register the golfers and keep score with each foursome. Volunteer shifts begin at 8:00 a.m. The shifts are from 8:00 a.m. -- 1:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. -- 6:30 p.m. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, meal, gift item and an invitation to the pre-event party held on Thursday, May 22, 2008. Monies raised from the tournament will benefit over 400 individuals with kidney disease in Central Louisiana. It will also provide screenings to those at risk for kidney disease -- hopefully preventing the need for certain individuals to go on dialysis.
Volunteers will be instructed about their duties the day of the tournament. Scorekeepers will not be given individual carts at the tournament and should be able to ride on the back of a golf cart. This opportunity is sponsored by: National Kidney Foundation Of Louisiana
