Rapides HFH has opened a ReStore, which is a thrift store for new and used building materials and hardware. Volunteers are needed to help at the store in a variety of ways--cashier, stock organizing, donation pick-up, and general sales assistance. Volunteers enjoy the family atmosphere with their fellow volunteers and meeting the customers. All proceeds help fund the ministry of Habitat for Humanity of building houses in partnership with families in need. Cashiers must be trained. Other volunteers don't need special training.
