Veronica Institute, Arts For The Earth, is a collaborative of artists, teachers and philanthropists whose mission is:to celebrate human potential and the human connection to Earth. We do this through performances, workshops, and partnerships with other organizations.
Our celebratory, uplifting work is vital in today's divisive world.

Description:
Veronica Institute, Arts For The Earth, is an organization that celebrates the creative spirit in us all, and the gifts of girls and women in particular. Our touring performance company,"Theatre For The Earth", is an intergenerational company of performers ages 9-77 that performs for Conferences, Sacred Gatherings, and Environmental Events. Both enchanting and inspirational, the production, "The Princess Who Greened The Land", has received standing ovations over the years.
The Play:
Drawn from "L'Elucidations", a Pre-Grail legend (circa 1230), "The Princess Who Greened The Land" is the story of a king who once honored the Earth at an annual festival, but suddenly ceases doing so, and claims power over the Earth for himself. What ensues is "The Wasteland." When his daughter, the Princess, finds her own garden dying, she follows her dream for greening the land, and challenges her father to once again share the power for the Earth's preservation.
Beautifully designed costumes, masks, choreography and musical score make for a timeless tale of enchantment and inspiration for today's world.
Also as celebration, our cast offers day-long a workshop entitled "The Gateway Ceremony Workshop" for girls, women, and elderwomen.

History:
Theatre for the Earth began its journey with celebrated performances at the United Nations Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro, 1992, and the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago, 1993. The non-profit "umbrella" agency that supported the theatre and the workshops was originally entitled, Veronica Sacred Arts, Inc.
Since its inception, Theatre for the Earth has performed in the UK, Ireland, and across the US including a grand performance at The Sacred Circles Conference for Women at The Washington National Cathedral. We both perform and give our workshops in schools, colleges and for conferences. We are non-denominational.
