The San Antonio Youth Centers, Inc. mission is to develop the strengths, talents & skills of inner-city youth and their family members so that each person fulfills his or her own potential--personally, at work, at school & in the community.

Description:
SAYC's programs strive to affect change in youth in three primary ways: prevention-preventing and reducing negative and delinquent behavior; academic improvement-improving academic skills and increasing participation in out-of-the classroom learning experiences; and social development-building character, improving social skills, increasing assets, and establishing positive relationships.

Our vision: To provide the highest quality youth development programs that produce profound, positive life changes in young people.

History:
San Antonio Youth Centers, Inc. has been serving youth in the poorest and most violent area of San Antonio since the agency was founded in 1984.

Directions:

From Our Lady of the Lake: Take Commerce headed Downtown. Take a left on Frio St. Follow Frio until you come to the interstate. Turn left at the light -- DO NOT go under the interstate. This is Poplar St., but there is no street sign. Once you've turned, we are the only building on the right before the railroad tracks.   Nearest Bus Stop: 88, 1 min. minute walk
