Jewish Family and Children's Service's mission is to strengthen community values,promote human dignity and enhance self-sufficiency of individuals and families through social, psychological, health educational and financial support programs.

Description:
Jewish Family and Children's Service has four areas of primary focus. They are: Family Life Education, Counseling, Case Management and Financial Aid. These programs are made available to individuals and families regardless of religion, race, age national origin or background. Jewish Family is a United Way agency and collaborates with many other agencies in providing support and making referrals. In additional to porfessional staff members, we also have a support staff that maintains the direction of the agency and assists with clients and there needs.

History:
Jewish Family and Children's Service was established in 1974. And, while a key focus of the agency has been and still is counseling, other programs have touched thousands of individuals and families in need for other services such as financial aid for utility bills, prescription medications and transportation. Additionally, the agency has provided classes and seminars of an educational nature such as "Parents of Adopted Children", "Breast Cancer", "Eating Disorders", "Self Esteem for Women" and many others.
