Bexar County Detention Ministries, Inc. provides educational social and religious services, pastoral care and counseling; to facilitate the transformation of incarcerated adult and juvenile offenders into productive individuals.

History:
Bexar County Detention Ministries, Inc. developed from a small group of volunteers at the Cameron Street jail in 1941 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1972. Over the years our ministry evolved to include educational and social services for inmates. In 2003, a permanent location for our offices and the Family Renewal Center opened to expand the community-based program for ex-offenders and their families.
