Volunteers are needed to serve as Mentors to youth ages 14 - 21 who are in foster care and who have just exited foster care. A one year committment is required with four contact required per month. Only two of those contact must be face-to-face contact. Mentor Match activities are planned every other month by PAL Staff which will serve as an opportunity for youth and Mentors to come together (matched or not) to interact and possibly self identify a Mentor or Mentee. All volunteers are required to attend a six hour orientation in an effort to provide the general background of youth in foster care, common mental health issues and resources that are available to youth aging out of foster care.
