Second Harvest Inland Northwest Community night occurs once a month from 5:30PM to 8PM at Second Harvest Inland Northwest. This is an excellent opportunity for your community organization, church group, business, corporation and high school and college students to be a part of the solution to hunger. Volunteers will be sorting produce and/or packaging food. This is an appropriate volunteer activity for community service hours for high school students, college students and military.

Volunteers must be 14 and over. Due to safety regulations, no open toed shoes (such as sandals and flip-flops) are allowed in the warehouse. Also, dress accordingly to the weather outside. If it is summer, it will be warm in the warehouse, but fall and winter will require a warm jacket. To register to volunteer, go to www.2-harvest.org and click on the Volunteer Now icon.

Very Satisfying Experience

Positive experience directly helping folks on need. This was my first volunteer effort. Was a bit surprised that there was no "Thank You" or recognition from the organization at all for my small effort but then I remembered that so many of the people I helped distribute the food to said those words over and over. Overall Experience   
I would recommend SHFB volunteer activities to anyone.
