Imagine yourself as a cheerful host to a family, or families, that are getting children off to school, getting ready to go off to work, or to set out into the community to find a home for themselves and their children. This is your opportunity to spend a few hours in the morning, one or more times a month, to be that host to the families who temporarily call Interfaith Hospitality Network their home. We have the opportunity available for you to greet the families at 7:00 a.m. when they arrive at the Day Center. Then, you may have coffee prepared, take phone messages, or just be available to chat with the children or parents until 9:00 a.m. when the staff arrives. If you are early riser, and have a social nature, this could be the volunteer opportunity for you.
We will provide any training that is needed. Volunteers should be in average health and able to maneuver stairs. We also conduct a Washington State Patrol background check on families, staff, and volunteers. This opportunity is sponsored by: Interfaith Hospitality Network of Spokane
We need volunteers who are free at these times
