Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed service fraternity dedicated to the three pillars of Leadership, Service and Friendship.
Description:
Alpha Phi Omega is an organization full of tradition and exciting opportunities. Every semester the UT chapter welcomes in new pledges who undergo a fun, hazing-free rush process. APO has weekly standing projects that actives and pledges can participate in as well as unique opportunities every semester such as working the Austin Reggae Fest. In addition to doing service, APO is known for running the World's Largest Texas Flag at the UT Football games. APO is also full of fun friendship activities like Broomball and Retreats.
History:
Alpha Phi Omega was founded in 1925 at Lafayette College and is a nationwide fraternity. It was originally a male-only organization focused on dedicating time to the Boy Scouts of America, a tradition still held onto today. For the complete history of APO visit the national website: www.apo.org.

friendships, roommate, community, campus and scouting service, leadership experience. the friendships and connections are real. the members are normal approachable people. its an amazing experience, not only can you be involved in all kinds of service but also fun activities like broomball, dodgeball, camping or just chillen over ice cream. you make the experience what you want, what your comfortable with. oh and did i mention we are also an official spirit organization for the university? we are the proud caretakers of the worlds largest texas flag, how cool is that!
