Now in its third year, the Atlanta Charter Middle School is a free public charter school located in the Ormewood Park neighborhood in southeast Atlanta serving students in grades six, seven, and eight from all over the city of Atlanta. ACMS is a small, focused, and diverse middle school that nurtures the whole child through challenging academics and active family and community involvement. Our curriculum and instruction are grounded in constructivist philosophy—by getting to know students well, we create an engaging educational experience that asks students to grapple with ideas and develop skills and habits that will allow them to be successful in school and beyond.
