Description:
OUR WHOLE FAMILY SERVICES At Osborne Community Coalition, families can find the social services, life skills and educational training needed to strengthen their circle of support.
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Knowledge is power. Our education programs are designed to reach youth and their families in the school setting and at our facility. STRUCTURED RECREATION Play is the work of youth. When the entire family plays together the family bond is strengthened. PARENT – AID Parenting is, in the best of times, difficult. Our services assist parents with this life-time role. SOCIAL SERVICES Learning to care for one’s self is critical in developing successful relationships with others. In addition to our services, Osborne Prevention Task Force has a coalition of over fifty members that provide a diverse pool of services.
History:
Osborne Community Coalition was established in 1996 by a group of caring residents. We received recognition as a 501c3 in February of 1999. Our staff and volunteers have served over 3,000+ residents through after-school programs, family and parenting classes, mentoring and community collaboration. The number of families we have in our community circle continues to grow. Our goal is to build social, legal, and organizational infrastructures in the Osborne Community that will promote the growth of hope and pride by the families that live in the Osborne Community. The success of the OPTF over the past seven years is a result of the devotion of its volunteer membership. Communities that care about themselves find a way to gather together and get the job done!
