Our vision is to help create a world without Alzheimer's disease. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research and promotion of brain health and to enhance care an support for all individuals, their families, and caregivers.
Description:
Our agency provides a web site, a 24/7 helpline at 1-800-272-3900, more than 100 support groups in Georgia, caregiver workshops, educational conferences, professional training for caregivers at agencies, public policy advocacy, and fund raising for Alzheimer's research.
History:
The Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association was formed as a combination of 5 smaller programs in Georgia in 2003.
