Our vision is that young girls, ages 8 - 17, grow up to become phenomenal women. Our mission is to inform, equip and encourage young girls to be pure, be strong and be more than average through workshops, mentoring and conferences.

Description:
Made 2B More consists of volunteers who assist with implementing and coordinating various events, including workshops, and conferences for girls. These events cover topics such as self-esteem, abstinence, peer-pressure, media madness, decision making, goal setting, leadership, life-skills drama and much more. In addition, Made 2B More develops Public Service Announcements and media campaigns to get the message out and remind all girls that they are made 2b more.

History:
In September 2003, founder, Rhonda G. Mincey, looked out her window and saw young girls walking up and down the street, apparently going nowhere. She knew that if these girls didn't have a positive environment where to go, they would get into trouble. Having a teenage daughter who was faced with the same dilemma, Rhonda looked for somewhere for her to go but there were few places and a lot of waiting lists.

Looking in her daughter's eyes one day, she saw a mixture of sadness and frustration. Frustration is a common emotion that teenagers experience as they struggle with their independence, only to find out that they still need a lot of guidance and have a lot to learn. Rhonda wondered what would happen if her daughter and other teenage girls knew that their identity was not in music videos? She often told her own daughter that she was made for more than dressing immodestly; she was made 2b more than average; that settling for second was not an option.

Believing that if young girls only know how important they are and who God created them 2b, they would not resort to looking for acceptance from the wrong person. She knew with proper guidance, girls could have good self-esteem, be ladies and become leaders. So Rhonda had a mission to see young girls succeed, be leaders not losers, become role models to their peers and eventually, mentors to other young girls.

Out of misery from one mom, came a ministry for many girls - Made 2B More.
