The Catholic Charities Service Corps (CCSC) invites its volunteers to develop and share their gifts, education, and faith in a unique manner; participate in challenging, meaningful work; live simply in an intentional community with other volunteers; explore how their faith can be more fully integrated into all aspects of their lives; and respond to their own special call to service by working among their marginalized brothers and sisters, while examining the scope and causes of injustice in the world.

Description:
Recent College Graduates(most are 20-somethings) commit to a year of service, from August 2008-August 2009. Members work in placements that include social work, legal, and education. History:
The Diocesan Service Corps (DSC) began in the fall of 2001 as a division of the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo. Catholic Charities of Western New York now administers the program; subsequently the name has been changed to the Catholic Charities Service Corps (CCSC).
