Our mission is to one day see an end to all animal suffering, help the overpopulation of animals by spay/neuter programs, and to have no more homeless pets. We feel that it is important to speak out for all animals that are being abused, mistreated, and denied freedom and love. It is important to extend our love and compassion to all life!

Description:
Speaking Out For Animals,Inc is a 501c3 non profit tax exempt organization based in Clarence, NY (right outside Buffalo, NY). S.O.F.A rescues neglected or abused cat/kittens, has them spayed/neutered, vaccinated and adopts them into loving homes. S.O.F.A is also an active animal rights group. We speak out for all animals who a suffering in deplorable conditions. Most recently, along with other animal groups, we presented legislation to ban animal acts, such as the circus, from coming to Buffalo, NY.

History:
We are a fairly new organization, having just been incorporated in Dec. 2005. In the past year we have rescued approximately 20+ cats and kittens. Our most touching rescue was of a kitten, Simba which was found in a parking lot, with both eyes swollen shut. S.O.F.A immediatly took him to an emergency vet clinic, where they found maggots eating his tiny, malnourished body. He also have a sever upper respitory infection, and was not expected to live through the night. With lots of TLC, we were able to bring him back to 100% health. Simba is the most lovable and playful cat and was adopted into a loving family who adores him! Each year we hope to grow and rescue more animals out of horrible conditions, like Simba.
