MISSION To promote understanding and strengthen the bonds of faith and friendship between members of the Arab American community and people of other nationalities and cultures living within America; to help newly arrived immigrants adapt to life in America; to inform the American public about the traditions and customs of the Arab community; to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of Arab culture within the American public; to promote the common good and general welfare of the Arab American community; and to foster tolerance of Arab American people in the United States.
Description:
We provide: Basic Social Services including but not limited to: Application filings, interpretation and translation, citizenship preparations. Health & Awareness Services: Aware our clients with important health related issues and health them understand the importance of staying healthy. Hold monthly health seminars conducted in both Arabic and English. Youth & Education: We offer Arabic Language Classes to both youth and adults, as well as ESL (English as a Second Language) to Adult Women. He have an Afterschool Program that runs from Fall to beginning of Summer. As well as Boy Scouts. Our overall purpose is to strengthen and empower our clients and families.
History:
Our organization was founded in May of 2005. We currently operate on volunteers, with no paid staff. We are struggling as funding has not been a part of our budget. We rely on community donors to keep the organization afloat.
