Seneca Babcock Community Association is a not-for-profit corporation, whose purpose is to establish, maintain, and operate a youth Association to conduct and sponsor recreational, cultural, and educational events and activities.

Description:
We offer comprehensive human service programming at the Seneca Babcock Community Association to the residents of the Seneca-Babcock community, as well as surrounding communities. These services are aimed at all age groups of the historically low to middle income area. The services include a senior citizen luncheon, a pre-school, adult/teen ceramics classes, youth recreation, senior citizen recreation, senior travel, girl scouts, brownies, GED classes, cheerleading, hockey, and many more.

History:
Seneca Babcock Community Association was established in 1975 by a small group of community minded people. Their devotion and commitment led to the opening of the Seneca Babcock Community Center in July of 1975. The Association was established as a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose was to “establish, maintain, and operate a youth center… to conduct or sponsor recreational, cultural, and educational events and activities.”

This year the community center is celebrating thirty-two years of offering comprehensive human service programming to the residents of the Seneca-Babcock and Hydraulics neighborhoods. These services are aimed at all age groups of this historically low-income area. Without a community school and limited access to other human services, our community center is truly the focal point of the neighborhood.

Recently our center underwent major renovations, adding a Family Computer Room and Fitness/Weight Room to our facility giving access to the members of our community to services that would ordinarily not be available to them.
