For over 140 years, we have looked after the physical, emotional, and medical welfare our residents. Our mission is to not only maintain overall health, but to improve the quality of life for each one of our residents. We strive to know each resident and their unique needs.

Description:
We provide assisted living services to aging women in a Victorian style mansion on Main Street in Buffalo. Every resident receives three meals a day, personal care assistance, housekeeping, laundry service, maintenance, an array of social activities, and medication management. Our residents must be of at least sixty years of age, female and choose to enter the home.

History:
Our organization began as the Home for the Friendless in 1868 by prominent citizens of Buffalo with concerns for destitute women. Through the Spanish-American War, WWI, the Great Depression, WWII, and the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the Home has continued its work. Today, we continue the tradition of not-for-profit service to women only.
