Description:
We are a food pantry that distributes groceries to residents of the 14215 zip code area. When clients arrive and show proof of their residence,(utility bill, drver's license, voters registration)they are provided with enough food to supply three meals a day for three days. Our area is a very depressed area and many people have a poor quality of life; we hope to be of help to them. As far as clients go we are one of the largest pantry's in the food bank organization.

History:
Our food pantry formerly St. Gerard's Food pantry was opened in the 1970's to provide groceries to residence of the St. Gerard's Church area ( East Delaven and Bailey) Over the years it has expanded to a member of the Food Bank of Western New YOrk; and distributes food to the 14215 zip code area. Since the closing of St. Gerard's Church in Jan of 2008. we have been phasing out our operations at that location and will be at 3021 Bailey Ave, starting November 15th.
