The mission of Meals on Wheels for WNY, Inc., is to deliver daily nutritious meals and provide related support services to those members of our community who have limited ability to shop or prepare meals for themselves. Description:
Our volunteers deliver two nutritious meals five days a week, to seniors and disabled individuals. It takes approximately 60 minutes - one day a week - at lunchtime. There is no special training required, you can drive or serve (car not necessary to serve), and you can assist meal recipients in your own neighborhood.

History:
Since 1969, Meals on Wheels for WNY, Inc., a private,not-for-profit agency, has provided home delivered meals to homebound, frail elderly or disabled persons. We began with 63 volunteers serving 27 participants Monday thru Friday.

Today, we are the largest volunteer organization in the area (an active force of 2,000 volunteers), and we serve about 3,200 hot and cold meals daily, and about 800,000 on an annual basis.
