Graycliff is the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed summer home of Isabelle and Darwin D. Martin. Situated on 8.5 acres, atop an 60 foot cliff with sweeping views of Lake Erie, the Graycliff Conservancy is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the estate while making it accessible to the public for education and enjoyment.

Description:
Just 20 minutes from downtown Buffalo, Graycliff’s light and airy design by Wright was one of his most innovative creations. A masterpiece hidden from view for over fifty years, Graycliff is now being rediscovered by visitors from throughout WNY, across the country, and around the globe. Graycliff is a New York State Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As a Graycliff volunteer, you will help to advance the restoration of this architectural jewel, be on the frontlines of cultural tourism, and take an activce involvement with its preservation. Please join us!

History:
Graycliff was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1926-29. Slated for demolition in just ten short years ago, thanks to the volunteers of the Graycliff Conservancy, (a non-profit organization incorporated in 1997 to restore, preserve and make accessible the Graycliff Estate) Graycliff is now well on its way to compelte restoration, and welcomes thousands of visitors from around the globe annually. Phases 0, I and II of restoration have now been successfully completed and Phase III is well underway; a visitor's center was constructed through adaptive re-use which includes handicapped accessible restrooms and a gift shop with historic displays; and an ample parking lot created.
