Shea's mission is to restore and maintain Shea's Buffalo Theatre for present and future generations to enjoy as a working historic theatre providing a wide variety of live performing arts experiences for our patrons and innovative and effective educational experiences fostering an appreciation of live theatre by area youth.

Description:
Built in 1926, Shea's Performing Arts Center is located in the heart of downtown Buffalo's Theatre District. Devoted to providing the very best in live entertainment to the Western New York Region, Shea's offers Broadway musicals, concerts, family programming, school time matinee performances and a free film series. Shea's extensive corps of over 1,500 volunteers function in a multitude of capacities in the areas of patron service, restoration and education.

History:
Shea's Performing Arts Center is a National Historic Site. Shea's was built in 1926 as a cinema. With the recent stagehouse expansion in 1999, Shea's is able to offer a variety of entertainment options including hit Broadway musicals, concerts, family programming and free films.
