Family Promise of Berks County- People of faith working together to provide homeless families with HELP for today and HOPE for tomorrow!
Description:
Family Promise is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year service providing temporary accommodations for homeless families. Family Promise of Berks County serves as an alternative to the shelter system, which often has families living apart. Families within the network work to resolve their homelessness by achieving stable income and housing. Family Promise of Berks County serves families with children without regard to race, religion, or age. Families may stay in the network 45 to 90 days providing they are adhering to guest guidelines and making progress in their efforts towards self-sufficiency.
History:
Family Promise of Berks County is an Interfaith Hospitality Network affiliated with the National Interfaith Hospitality Network. The Berks affiliate has been operating since June, 2006.
