Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is a 2225 acre refuge for birds of prey and other wildlife, with 8 miles of hiking trails and a native plant garden. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is open all year, but is most famous for its fall raptor migration where 16 species of birds of prey can be seen. Education programs are presented on weekends in spring and fall. The mission of the sanctuary is to conserve birds of prey worldwide by providing leadership in raptor conservation science and education, and by maintaining Hawk Mountain Sanctuary as a model observation, research and education facility.
