The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, and to enhance care and support for individuals and their families and caregivers.

The Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter serves Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Delaware. It is the local chapter of the National Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association. We are an alliance of family members and professionals dedicated to helping people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias and their families through education, advocacy, and support. There are more than 268,000 families in our area, and more than 4.5 million nationwide, coping with the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease and other progressively debilitating disorders. History:
The Alzheimer's Association was incorporated on April 10, 1980.

The Alzheimer's Association, the world leader in Alzheimer research and support, is the first and largest voluntary health organization dedicated to finding prevention methods, treatments and an eventual cure for Alzheimer's.

For 25 years, the donor-supported, not-for-profit Alzheimer's Association has provided reliable information and care consultation; created supportive services for families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced public policy changes.
