Help pack food boxes for senior citizens

Once a month we pack nearly 800 food boxes to be distributed to low income senior citizens as part of the federal Commodity Supplemental Food Program. We need approximately 30 volunteers to help us accomplish this packing. The total time commitment is typically only about 1 1/2 hours. This is a great group volunteer opportunity for companies, churches, schools, etc. Individuals are also more than welcome to join us. If you are interested, please contact the Food Bank and ask to be put on our volunteer email list to be notified of volunteering dates.
Because of warehouse safety considerations, we require volunteers to be at least 12 years of age. Also, no open-toed shoes are allowed to be worn in the warehouse.
