Jessamine County Senior Citizens Centers mission is to act as a base to coordinate and implement community senior programming. The center meets the needs of citizens 60 years of age or older by using outreach methods such as (referrals, assessments, home visits, etc.). We serve everyone from home bound to active seniors.

Description:
The purpose of Jessamine County Senior Citizens Center is to establish and maintain resource information assistance. We provide supportive services (transportation, outreach, advocacy, counseling visiting, meals, home care, and telephone reassurance). The center also provides hot nutritious meals, community based services including tax preparation and legal assistance. Within our center, seniors can receive social/recreational/educational activities which enhance physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Frail clients can receive Home care services, which provide assessment, case management, homemaking, chore work, respite care, and personal care.

History:
Our center has been serving Seniors of Jessamine County well over 20 years. We have received recognition from the Governor and other political leaders for our programs such as our Senior Bells Program. We serve thousands of seniors a year in various forms. We have been recognized for our excellence in Medicare D outreach and education.
