The Lexington VA Medical Center is a fully accredited two-division medical center that provides a wide range of health care services for eligible military veterans on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The medical center has 2 facilities in Lexington. The military veteran population in the medical center's primary service area in central Kentucky is estimated at more than 92,000.
History:
The Lexington VA Medical Center was established 1n 1931 to provide health care services for Kentucky's military veterans. An additional medical center location opened in 1973.
