Hospice Care Plus provides compassionate, supportive care to persons with a life-limiting illness, honoring their values, beliefs, and needs and those of their families and the communities we serve.
Description:
The Patient/Family Volunteer provides supportive services from admission through the bereavement process to help the patient/family cope with terminal illness, death and grief issues. Administrative volunteers provide clerical and/or fund raising support to help HCP better serve patients,families, and the community. The Inpatient Facility volunteer will work in the new facility helping in areas that include (front desk, housekeeping, floral arrangement, childrens activities, companionship, and clerical).
History:
Madison County Hospice was founded in 1981 and grew between 1986-1989 to cover six counties. Therefore the name was changed to Hospice of the Kentucky River. We have been known as Hospice Care Plus since 1997, care is provided in Estill, Jackson, Lee, Madison, Owsley and Rockcastle coutiens to patients with terminal illnesses.

Turn Right off the exit ramp.
Turn Right onto Peggy Flat Road follow about .5 miles.
Turn Left onto Candlewood Drive.
Turn Right onto Kidd drive and follow around to the end.
