Pyramid Professional Resources serves the needs of the homeless population of Lexington and Fayette Urban County by providing encouragement, mentoring and support to empower individuals to break barriers in employment, housing and self-development.
Description:
We assist the homeless and marginally housed persons to find employment and housing, by providing an address, a telephone/voice mail service, computers, internet services, bus pass, lockers, clothes bank, laundry and shower facilities, resume, classes and counseling on the best ways to find work. We have a daily newspaper, and help the person to find a job that is meaningful to them. Short classes are given to address what to say in an interview, to a supervisor and others in the job field to get the job and to maintain the job.
History:
We opened our facility which is in the basement of Christ Church Cathedral December 2005, We have had over 50 clients come through our doors, and have assisted 50% to obtain employment and housing. We utilize volunteers from all walks of life to maintain the program. We are supported by a number of local churches, several industrial companies and individual donors. We have also obtained grants to assist us in particular projects.

Downtown, find the History Museum on Main Street. Drive pastit to Broadway. Turn right, and right again on Short Street. The second left should be Market Street. Drive past Christ Church Cathedral and turn right on Cathedral Way. There is usually parking in there. If not, drive to the garage across the street and we will give you a free parking pass. Walk into the Welcome Center and ask for Pyramid, and the person there will call down for us to come up and greet you.
