The mission of CASA at Woodlawn is to provide trained/supervised volunteers to become the "voice" for abused & neglected children in Boyle and Mercer. The volunteer works collaboratively with the attorneys and social workers in an attempt to achieve the best result for the child. Our main goal is to provide a safe, permanent and loving home for each child.

Description:
Every year over half a million of our nation’s children reside in foster care or out of home placements. Most have been abused and/or neglected in their own homes...the very place they should feel the safest and most secure.
The child who is a victim of abuse or neglect is removed from their home and parents, placed with relatives or strangers. The child must wait for judges, attorneys and social workers to decide their future.

History:
CASA at Woodlawn has been serving children of Boyle and Mercer Counties for almost three years. We have provided advocacy services for over 60 children.
Our volunteers genuinely care and make the difference in a child's life. It has been statistacally proven when a CASA volunteer is involved with a case, the child is in foster care or out of the home a shorter time.
