The mission of CASA at Woodlawn (Boyle and Mercer Counties) is to provide trained and supervised volunteers to become the voice for abused & neglected children. The volunteer works on behalf of the child, speaking up for what they feel is in the child’s best interest. The volunteer works collaboratively with the attorneys and social workers in an attempt to achieve the best result for the child. Our goal is a safe , permanent and loving home for each child.

Description:
Every year over half a million of our nation’s children reside in foster care or out of home placements. Most have been abused and/or neglected in the very place they should be the most safe... their own homes.

The child victim of abuse or neglect is removed from their home and parents, placed with relatives or strangers, and must wait for judges, attorneys and social workers to decide their futures.

History:
CASA at Woodlawn has been serving children of Boyle and Mercer Counties for two years. We have provided advocacy services for over 50 children.
Our volunteers genuinely care and make the difference in a child'slife.
