S.O.S. provides outpatient surgical services to individuals who do not have insurance and are not eligible for federal or state assistance. We rely on many community partners, agencies, and individuals to professionally serve our clients - people who otherwise would not have access to professional surgical care.

History:
S.O.S. started serving the needs of our clients on September 5, 2005. Since that time, hundreds of clients been referred to us and our staff of volunteer professionals have performed numerous surgical procedures. At present, we are operating on the third Sunday of every month. The need is great and we are evaluating the possibility of doubling our 'surgical Sundays'.

Turn off of west main street in Lexington on to Newtown Pike, take a right at the second red light and then left into the Fayette County Health Department, go to second floor.   Nearest Bus Stop: Newtown Pike/Loudon Avenue, 100 feet minute walk
