GetWell's mission is to help individuals and families in learning about prevention, coping with illness, stress or trauma. GetWell offers a number of innovative resources, drawing from existing resources and bringing them together for individuals, professionals and institutions.

What We Do:
GetWell provides medical resources from reviewed World Wide Web resources. All resources are carefully reviewed by medical professionals in an effort to protect consumers against information of unclear sources.

GetWell offers qualified web based medical resources, facilitates access to professional advice and addresses special needs. GetWell is involved in advocacy, education and supporting the educators and providers as well as providing an example of collaboration. Funding:
This organization is a non-for-profit and needs your support to continue offering its resources. Funds are raised at this time through corporate, private foundation, individual donation and subscribers. Present campaign:
Presently involved in an education campaign to train doctors and healthcare providers in domestic abuse screening as well as find funding to do more training in schools.

History:
GetWell was created in 1998 with the internet in mind, in an effort to offer "screened" medical resources. The founder felt that with the wide access of information through the use of the internet, consumers may be taken by advertisers rather than researched information. Also the mass of resources was getting overwhelming and discouraging. GetWell is also involved in a number of activities where it felt there were unmet needs in the medical area, such as during the 911 catastrophe or now in an effort to decrease health care cost of undiagnosed domestic abuse by the medical profession.
