Family Counseling Service is dedicated to providing individual,relationship,group and family counseling for people in the bluegrass region.We offer experienced therapists, a client centered philosophy and a solution focused approach to managing the issues of everyday life.

Fees for services are based on the client's household income. We strive to provide affordable,responsive services and our sliding fee begins at $15 per session. We do accept some insurance plans along with Medicare. Among the services we provide are the following:
Depression/Grief and loss
Anxiety/Stress/Phobia
Abuse/Trauma issues
Anger Management
Relationships
Parenting/Child and adolescent behavior
Coping with mental illness
Separation/divorce recovery
Adjustments to life changes

History:
Family Counseling Service was born in 1900 from a plea from Lexington Mayor H.T. Duncan for "some known helpers" to address the unmet social needs of individuals and families. This plea led to the establishment of the initial ancestor of today's Family Counseling Service.
