Child Development Centers of the Bluegrass is a preschool, childcare center, and early intervention program for children with and without disabilities who are birth to five years of age.
Description:
CDCB provides early intervention services including developmental intervention, physical, occupational and speech therapy for young children. We also provide preschool and childcare for children 13 months to five years of age who are typically developing or who have disabilities. All services are provided in an integrated setting. We also provide outpatient occupational, speech and physical therapy. Child Development Centers of the Bluegrass is one of only 5 four star programs in the governor's STARS FOR KIDS NOW program in Kentucky.
History:
The Child Development Centers of the Bluegrass has been in Lexington since 1958. The agency was earlier known as United Cerebral Palsy of the Bluegrass. CDCB has always served children with disabilities and their typically developing peers in an integrated preschool setting.
