The organization is committed to the public's innate desire to create and collaborate, which is essential to achieving and sustaining community prosperity.

citizensCREATE! is aligned with these core principles ::
o foster creative community through interactive public events
o enable artistic performance and display by citizens
o support arts education and awareness

We accomplish our mission by bringing art projects to the people. Past projects have included a day at the Farmer's Market, Youth Expo, Georgetown International Kite Festival, Home at Last fund raiser, Terrapin Hill Festival and Versailles Juneteenth Festival. incorporated with 501(c)(3) status in November 2004
all volunteer board initiated with 3 officers and expanding
board serving no more than 4 annual terms consecutively
based in Lexington and serving the Greater Bluegrass Area
first public event attracted over 300 participants
facilitated a total of 10 public art projects to date
all artworks virtually 100% passer-by created
all production design currently done "in-house"
publicity in Herald Leader, Advocate Messenger, KY Sunrise, Nougat, etc.
